Giving Nest Facts At Your Fingertips

 

 

 

• The Giving Nest Preschool & Kindergarten opened September 1990 with 56 students & 8 Staff Members in North Plainfield.

 

• We have five locations in Somerset County - North Plainfield, Watchung, Martinsville, Bridgewater, and our newest location in Warren.

 

• Ages of children attending: 2 1/2 to 6 years of age. Our Warren location is exclusively for our little ones ages 18 months to 30 months. Our North Plainfield and Martinsville locations offer Kindergarten.

 

• We offer 1/2 day and full day classes. We offer before and/or after care from 7:30am to 6:00pm (times vary in each location)

• We offer classes that meet one, two, three, four or five times a week depending on the age of your child.

 

• Our student/teacher ratio is below State Regulations. They are...

  • 2 1/2 (Chick-a-dee Class) 6 children per teacher

  • 3 to 6 year olds (Duckling, Bluebird, & Cardinal Classes) 8 children per teacher

 

• We have a low staff turn-over. Many staff members have been with us for at least 10 years (Check out our staff at each location).

 

• Our schools meet and exceed the local fire department and state regulations and requirements.

 

• Children do not need to be Potty Trained in the 18 month, 2 ½, or 3 year old classes.

 

• At any given time there at least 2 staff members at each location that are CPR and 1st Aid Certified.

 

• Our doors are locked at all times except during Arrival and Dismissal Times and our beautiful playgrounds are fenced-in and they are on our school property.

 

• Children are only released to people listed on their “Permanent Pick-Up Permission Slip”.
